It’s a group that is fully supportive of one another all year round as we work to deliver an unrivalled level of service to our clients. But once a year we also take the opportunity to get together in person, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate our collective achievements over the past 12 months.
This year’s Blossom Home Care Annual Conference & Awards took place on 6 October at the idyllic Headlam Hall in Darlington. Fully funded by Blossom Home Care HQ and attended by every single franchisee, the day was packed with both informative and fun activities, before rounding off with a black tie awards dinner.
What happened at this year’s conference?
Illustrating our commitment to caring for and developing our team just as much as our clients, the morning was spent listening to three keynote speakers. The first of these was a health and wellbeing coach who talked about the many ways we can look after ourselves to ensure we are always feeling our best. Other talks focused on specialist epilepsy care and updated regulations.
In the afternoon, franchisees had the opportunity to team up and work together to escape a variety of escape rooms. This was a great social activity in particular for those franchisees attending their first Blossom conference. We’re pleased to say every team solved the challenge and made it out safely in good time!
A superb day culminated with a black tie awards ceremony, which recognised and celebrated everyone’s collective achievements over the past year as they grew their own Blossom Home Care business.
Celebrating another year of Blossom success
All franchise owners and office management teams, as well as members of staff shortlisted for awards, joined us for what was a brilliant evening. Casino tables, horse racing games, and a selfie booth provided plenty of entertainment, whilst a sumptuous three-course meal was also provided.
Awards were dished out throughout the evening, with seven main gongs up for grabs:

● Blossom Team Award: Northallerton office
● Registered Manager Award: Bobbie Chapman, Durham office
● Deputy Managers Award: Elise W, Northallerton office
● Senior Carers Award: Megan G, Northallerton office
● Home Care Workers Award: Steph M, Barnard Castle office
● Blossom Champion Award: Clare F, Barnard Castle office
There were also a series of commendations issued to team members before it was time to party into the early hours!

● Home Care Workers Commendation: Sophie W, Malton office; Natalie W, Durham office
● Blossom Champion Commendation: Amy S, Beverley office
● Length of Service Award: Hannah W & Clare W, Northallerton office
“It was a night for the Blossom family to come together, have fun, and celebrate those going above and beyond in their roles within the Blossom network!” explains co-founder Fiona Leggott.
“It was great to get everyone together,” added fellow co-founder John Leggott. “It was also nice to see all the new franchisees mixing with our existing network. The point of the conference was to bring the whole Blossom Home Care family together in one location and we were delighted to see everyone make it.
“It was a fantastic day and we’re already looking forward to seeing all franchisees existing and new at our next event!”
