The story behind Blossom Home Care’s franchise expansion in Canterbury



Last month we shared the very exciting news of Blossom Home Care’s arrival in the south, with our premium quality home care becoming available to clients in London and Kent.



Now we are delighted to share the story of Brian Hubbard, who is leading the Blossom Home Care franchise in the historic Kent city of Canterbury.


Here in his own words, Brian explains what attracted him to Blossom Home Care, his journey to becoming a franchisee and his aspirations for the business.


Deciding on Blossom Home Care


After looking at franchise opportunities for years, I finally decided that home care was a market that would not suffer from trends or market forces, as it is an essential service that cannot be sacrificed.

Once I had settled on the industry, it was then a case of deciding on a particular company from the myriad of options. After a great deal of thought and research, I chose Blossom Home Care.

What appealed was the glowing reviews, the size of the company, and the specific client demographic. It was clear to me that Blossom Home Care always has clients’ best interests as their No1 priority – it’s not just a slogan or spin.


Getting started as a franchisee


My first contact regarding franchising with the company was with Esther, who is an absolutely perfect first voice to hear. She was so helpful and her confidence in Blossom Home Care shone through.


Co-founder John Leggott has been the individual that has taken me from enquiry to contract signing, and I am in awe of him. To juggle a hugely successful home care business whilst finding time for me – and all the other franchisees joining Blossom Home Care – just blows me away.


He was always available to talk through everything, answer my silly questions, and any doubts I had were calmly dealt with. In particular I enjoyed an enormous amount of help and direction in producing a business plan and cash flow forecast that would have otherwise been so far beyond me I would have quit if it were not for John.

From this point onwards, my dealings with fellow co-founder Fiona Leggott will increase and I have no doubt she will similarly provide the highest level of aid and support. I feel completely confident in a successful opening and ongoing glowing future with Blossom Home Care.


Bringing premium home care to Kent


My franchise territory will cover Canterbury and the east Kent area, with services beginning before the end of October.


The main benefit of opening a Blossom Home Care franchise here is that, finally, a high-quality service provider has now entered the local market. Potential clients now have the opportunity to experience the Blossom Home Care difference first-hand.


Despite the cost of living crisis swamping so many people currently, I feel that when it comes to individuals financing home care, there are simply no alternatives for the quality of service they will receive from my branch of Blossom Home Care. Clients will therefore continue with this essential service and fund it accordingly.


I have no doubt that my Blossom Home Care franchise is the right company, at the right time, in the right place. It is now up to me to listen, learn, and follow what John and Fiona have created in the North East and produce it in east Kent.


And I cannot wait to get started.
